type=&#8221;full_width&#8221; angled_section=&#8221;no&#8221; text_align=&#8221;left&#8221; background_image_as_pattern=&#8221;without_pattern&#8221;][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_empty_space height=&#8221;22px&#8221;][vc_column_text]The Archaeological Museum of Kimolos is located in Chorio, opposite the Cathedral of \u201cPanagia OdIgitria\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0 Museum has been housed in a traditional two-storey building, since 2006.<\/p>\n<p>On the first floor visitors can see exhibits and film screening concerning the ancient history of Kimolos, starting from the Late Neolithic era , as well as an impressive representation of an ancient burial , as it was found during the excavation, under a transparent floor .[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=&#8221;22px&#8221;][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_empty_space height=&#8221;22px&#8221;][vc_column_text]The Folklore Museum is housed in a\u00a0 two-storey traditional building\u00a0 of the Castle , by the north entrance(Pano Porta).<\/p>\n<p>On the ground floor, and particularly in the great hall the exhibits are modular, while in the smaller hall, visitors can see all about weaving tools.<\/p>\n<p>The upper floor has been restored according to the original layout of the house, which was the ancestral of the founder of the museum, doctor Manolis Christoulakis, with the\u00a0 original furniture of the founder&#8217;s mother and items offered by Kimolians.\u00a0 The hallway\u00a0 has been fitted out to a naval corner.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row css_animation=&#8221;&#8221;
