Nearby there are some islets. The biggest one,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.gokimolos.gr\/en\/poliaigos\/\">Poliegos<\/a>, 18 sq. km in extent, claims to be the island with the best conservation of the natural environment in the Aegean Sea. For this it is part of the European Program \u201cNatura 2000\u201d. Kimolos has\u00a0<strong>750<\/strong>\u00a0inhabitants. Most of them live in the main settlement, \u201c<strong>Chorio<\/strong>\u201d.
