“Arzantiera” is housed in a renovated building of the Kastro (castle), near its Kato Porta (southern entrance), at Chorio, Kimolos. In fact, the frond room was built after the Greek War of Independence (1821), while the back one was the bakery of the medieval town.

That's why “Arzantiera” is more than a store: it's an example of the building technique of the 16th c. and 19th c. A.C.

The steady, stone walls hold a wide collection of handmade creations: jewelry, painting, decorative and handy objects.

Xanthi is the painter. She paints Kimolian landscape on old, wooden doors and shutters and portraits on old boards. She also makes youthful jewels and lovely decorative objects.

Her mother, Flora, creates unique, modern jewels, using metals, wood, semiprecious stones and glass.

Kostis, the father, revives an old Kimolian toy: traditional, metallic toy – boats. A long time ago, boys used to make them out of empty tin pots and play with them. Sometimes, they even had competitions for the most navigable and nice boat and the best captain.

In “Arzantiera” you can also find pop – art decorative objects, accessories, jewels, pottery, small sculptures and painting of some well known artists like, Ch. Brati, A. Togia, A. Christofi, V. Reppa, A. Moraitou, M. Velidou, Frada, Sinapeiro etc.
